Preserving the Last Tube He Ever Pulled

When my late dad retired from an aerospace company after nearly 40 years as a calibration technician, he gave me the very last vacuum tube he would ever pull from a piece of equipment.

For what would have been his 79th birthday, I enshrined that tube as a memorial to his love for fixing things.
